Where the Crawdads Sing is an emotional story from start to finish. I immediately fell in love with our main character Kya and wanted nothing more than to see her succeed.

First off I loved the way Delia Owens paces the story, jumping between past and present between chapters. It added a lot in terms of building suspense and keeping me engaged even through the slower parts of the story.
Her history as a nature writer is what shines the brightest, however, as the way she paints these environments is beautifully done and had me feeling as if I was walking through the marsh with Kya.
This was a great read and I recommend it to anyone looking to get lost in not only a story but nature itself.
